• Automatic system will compare between hundreds of deals update daily and the ones that get the most number of Votes, Views, Comments, Favorites in a short period of time (from submitting time) will become featured deal automatically.
• Hand pick by our staff.

So, only the top hot deals, coupons will appear on our front page. This will help other users to see what's hot and get them before they're out of stock ^_^

This is very important. Please read and follow carefully, otherwise nobody gets paid!

Title (required): name of the product.

Category (required): select a category and sub-category for your product.

Link (required): THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART IN SUBMITTING A NEW DEAL. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

• Link must come from either SEARCH RESULT or CLICKED RESULT WITHIN MERCHANT WEBSITE. In other words, you must actually find the deal.
  
• There are many other deals' site out there. DO NOT USE THEIR LINKS OR LINK OF MERCHANT SITE RESULTING FROM CLICKING THEIR LINK BECAUSE THEY WON'T WORK. If you find the deal, go to merchant site and perform an actual search on item name, links from search result pages should be fine to use.
• If you're not sure, send a message to websupport and ask before submit your first deal.

Expiring Date: if you don't know when the product is expired, just leave those fields like that (Month, Day, 2008).

Please note that Cash Back is not valid on ANY gift card purchases or redemptions.

99% deals, coupons on ShoppingOak are qualify for Cash Back. If you clicked on a link on our site to merchant's site, and saw a message "Congrats! You are on track for...", then you're good to go. ;) (well 99% of the time).

If you don't see a message like "Congrats! You are on track for..." when going from our website to merchant sites, then the product is not qualified for Cash Back. There are many reasons for this. First, check if the product is expired? If not, contact (or report) deal's submitter or post a comment on deal's page to see if anybody got the deal?

As stated above, if for some unknown reason (the 1% left) we didn't get your purchase's information from Affiliate Companies, we won't be able to pay you even if saw the Congrats message.

Cash Back Available: this is how much you have in your account at the time. You can request a payment anytime you like.

Appealing Cash Back: once you contact "Transaction" department about a transaction. The amount you supposed to earn for that transaction will be added to this until your case is resolved.

Pending Cash Back: once you request a payment, we need 24-48 (business) hours to process your request. Payment via Paypal usually takes 3-5 business days. Payment via Check usually takes 3-5 business and sometimes up to 3 weeks.

Received Cash Back: amount of money we've paid you.

Cash Back Bonus: all new account receive $5.00 sign-up bonus which can be withdraw once your Cash Back Available reach $20.00

Earnings: this is how much you earned from 1. referring your friends to us and they bought some thing and 2. submitting hot deals and other users bought items through your deal's pages.

Cash Back is the money we give you back when buying (almost) anything online through our website. Take a look at the list of online stores we're in relationship with here.
Let's  look at a simple example. Let say you click on a link on our Buy.com page to go to Buy.com website then bought a camera from Buy.com for $500.00 (before tax and shipping). Remember, we only pay you when you clicked on deals, stores on our site that offer Cash Back. Since we're currently offer 2% Cash Back for products at Buy.com, you will receive $500.00 x 2% = $10.00 Cash Back from us. Easy eh? ^_^

Disclaimer: below information rarely happens, though we have to address them.

• We always did our best to give you the most accurate information about deals, coupons, but in order to give you Cash Back, we have to work with 3rd parties sites (Merchants, Affliate Companies...), so we have all rights to refuse Cash Back to any purchases that for some reasons not being reported to us from Affiliate Companies.
• This website is built with a focus on Web 2.0, so most of the deals, coupons are submitted by other users like you. Hence, we are not responsible for inaccuracy of any deals, coupons submitted on this site. All deals, coupons can be changed without prior notice.

Cash Back and Coupon are not the same. Coupons usually are pieces of codes that you can apply at check out (at Merchant sites) to get special Discounts. This has nothing to do with Cash Back on ShoppingOak. The amount of Cash Back you get depends on how much you pay for the product BEFORE tax and shipping.

Let's look at an example: The $500.00 camera above, the buyer gets $10.00 Cash Back. Currently we offer 2% off of buyer Cash Back to referrer (you) which means that you will receive $10.00 x 2% = $0.20, and the buyer will receive a net of $10.00 - $0.20 = $9.80

Your friends must register an account at ShoppingOak before the end of his/her session (session ends when ones close the browser) after clicking on your referral links otherwise you won't be his/her referrer.

Everytime a user buy (qualified Cash Back) products through your submitted deals, coupons (this means that you have to submit the deal correctly. click here to learn how to submit a deal, coupon), we pay you 2% (currently) off of their total Cash Back.

Again, let's look at an example: let say you're the one who submitted the $500.00 camera above. Now we will pay you 2% off of $10.00 Cash Back. So now, the buyer gets $9.80 Cash Back, referrer (could also be you) earns $0.20 from us, and you (the submitter) earn $0.20 ;). Once you submit a deal, it's yours forever, so if it's a very great deal, many people will buy and buy...well, you get the picture.

Most of the time, you don't have to report your purchase to us. But you must report your purchase in 2 situations below:

Please note that Starting Jan 2nd, 2009, we are no longer offer Cash Back when buying at Amazon because we just discovered that Amazon does not allow such incentive on affiliate sites. Orders prior to this date will still receive your Cash Back.

1. We will receive your purchase information from Affiliate Companies automatically as long as the product you bought is qualified for Cash Back. Though some merchants such as Amazon, Bestbuy have their own Affiliate Program which limit us the ability to give you Cash Back. For these stores, we developed our own technology to track your purchase from them, so we also offer Cash Back to qualified products, but you are required to report your purchase to us manually. This is still in Beta Testing, so if for some rare reason we can't track your order (which in turns disqualified you from getting Cash Back), please don't hate us. We did our best. ;)
Which merchants do I have to report my purchase? Amazon, BestBuy
When should I report my purchase? you should report your purchase right after you bought products from them.

2. When you purchased items from normal stores (99% of the stores on ShoppingOak are normal stores), you received your items from seller, but don't see Cash Back in your account, report your order to us.

If you made multiple purchases from one merchant, report them separatedly!

As you already knew, we give you $5.00 bonus when you sign-up for an account at ShoppingOak. The first time you want to request a payment, you must have at least $20.00 available in your account. After the first time, if you want to receive payment by Check, you must have at least $10.00 available. If you want to receive payment through Paypal, there are no minimum limit (but please wait until you have at least $5.00 in your account, otherwise Paypal just eat up the money with their transfer fee >.< ).

Please note that if you return the product to seller for a refund, we will be notified by them. Hence we have to take Cash Back back for that item.

Currently, we don't have a search system, but we're working on it. Writing a comprehensive search function is hard and it's even harder for a shopping site. You should see it right away once it's available. ^^;

Updated: a search engine has been implemented. This search engine can search through databases of many online retailers such as Amazon, Buy.com, NewEgg, Target...to give you the best deals.

When we refer you to a Merchant site, if you buy anything from them, we will receive commission from that Merchant. In turns, we give most of those back to you in the form of Cash Back. So basically everybody wins here! ^_^. SO keep on shopping eh?!!??

Most deals submitted at ShoppingOak will be active immediately, though some merchants require extra work to convert links to their trackable links. If your deals is not yet active, it won't appear at our deals' page, but you can still manage & edit ALL your deals in "Manage Account -> Deals & Coupons -> My submitted Deals".

If for some reason, we can't activate your link (so that others can get Cash Back when buying through your deal), you will be notified via My Messages and My submitted Deals.

How long? Normally, it takes from 10-30mins to activate a link. Please patience!
